Dash Dynamics manufactures premium Gel Digits Ireland products designed specifically to meet the Irish standards outlined in S.I. No. 287/1990 – Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations, 1990.

Our Irish 3D gel number plate letters and digits are engineered for accuracy, durability, and a premium finish. Designed exclusively for Irish registration plates, these Gel Digits Ireland products provide the correct dimensions and appearance required for professional plate manufacturing.

As there is no official standard font for Irish registration plates, we reviewed a range of existing fonts and concluded that none met the standards we required for our Gel Digits Ireland range.

Rather than modifying an existing font, we developed a completely new design from scratch. While some manufacturers simply stretch or compress characters to fit Irish plate dimensions, this can create incorrect proportions, making horizontal strokes too wide and vertical strokes too narrow.

Our Irish 3D gel number plate letters were specifically designed to meet the required character size of 70mm x 36mm and a stroke width of 10mm. Every letter and digit was carefully developed to achieve maximum accuracy and consistency.

The development process took several months, with each character produced to a tolerance of 0.01mm for height and width while maintaining the correct stroke width throughout. This attention to detail makes our Gel Digits Ireland collection one of the most accurate and visually appealing solutions available.

Like all Dash Dynamics products, our Irish 3D gel number plate letters and digits are protected worldwide against unauthorised copying. They are supplied under licence for use by approved manufacturers and may not be redistributed without permission.

Following the development of our font, we created dedicated jig systems for the two standard Irish number plate sizes:

Our number plate jig systems have been designed specifically to work with our Gel Digits Ireland products and accessories. Manufactured using high-quality materials, these jigs provide accurate positioning and consistent installation results.

Like all Dash Dynamics products, our jig systems are produced using materials similar to those used in our UK BS AU145e product range, helping ensure long-term quality and compatibility should Irish number plate regulations evolve in the future.

Irish 3D Gel Number Plate Product Packs

We are happy to provide free samples of our Gel Digits Ireland products so you can assess their quality before placing an order.

Our starter packs contain the most commonly used letters and numbers found on Irish registration plates, together with the standard 520mm x 110mm jig. Additional characters are available if required, and the 340mm x 220mm square plate jig system can be purchased either with your initial order or at a later date.

The digit selection included in each pack is based on registration frequency and county usage patterns throughout Ireland, making them an ideal starting point for manufacturers producing Irish number plates.

Please note that these Irish gel digits are designed specifically for Irish registration plates and are not intended for use on UK registration plates, as they do not comply with current UK regulations.
